DIY Pet Valentines

29th January 2021

Have you seen the pictures kids take with outstretched arms and then they add a sucker to the picture later so it looks like they are holding it? I was trying to think of a unique and easy Valentine and it dawned on me, “Why can’t my girl’s use their pets to do the same thing?” and poof, DIY pet sucker Valentine’s were born!

I used the app Word Swag to do the wording and printed these from my phone to Walgreens. I used scissors to snip slits for the suckers and it couldn’t be easier!

I also have one where the guinea had the sucker in its mouth. I mean…I can’t. I love these!

I love doing creative things for my kids and to inspire others! I’d love for you to share this post or pin it to spread the creative juices around. Happy early Valentine’s!!!!

Guinea Pig Printable Valentines

31st January 2020

These guinea pig printable invites are from my FAVORITE source for printables: KudzuMonster on Etsy. I did a post on some of my favorite Valentine’s of hers last year.

My daughter got two guineas for Christmas so, of course, it’s what she is in to right now. KudzuMonster, no surprise had these one-of-a-kind Valentine’s in her shop. Coming to a 4th grade class near you.

Guinea pig tested and approved!

You Blow Me Away DIY Balloon Valentine

15th February 2019

My oldest little girl came up with some of THE BEST Valentine ideas so I think she has some “her party pants” in her genes! Woo hoo! She wanted to do a “blow me away” Valentine with balloons so we made it happen. We found a “you blow me away” instant download printable in the Etsy shop TitaTipsPrintables that was meant for bubbles. She thought we could replace the bubbles with balloons and fill the balloons with candy, so we did! She picked two different color coordinating balloons and we stuffed them and tied them with black and white baker’s twine.

To fill the balloons, I put my fingers in the opening and stretched it open for dear life will I pleaded with my 8 year old to hurry up and stuff the dang candy in! #reallifebro

I glued each balloon on with a hot glue gun and, believe it or not, it doesn’t damage the latex at all and they peel off effortlessly! The candy empties easily and the balloon is ready to blow!

Pin, share, enjoy!

Creative Valentines for Kids

10th February 2019

I struck the mother load of awesome and creative digital download Valentines on Etsy. The shop name is Kudzu Monster and the owner, Tiffany Everett, is a hero of Valentines and other printables! Because she is of heroic status, I’m adding her to my favorite suppliers category here on the site.

All images are from her Etsy shop and used by permission from her. Fall in love with me already! I know there are plenty of moms out there who don’t have their Valentine’s for their kids yet.

I know a lot of super fun mom and kids that are going to love these guys. I have a favorite. What’s yours?

All images and content from Kudzu Monster.

DIY Printable Valentines

10th February 2016

I found these two puppies on good ole’ Pinterest.  I picked out the choice pool and let my two girls each pick one out.  LOVE THEM!  One printable is free (gem) and one I bought for 3 dollars on Etsy (donut).  I had my own card stock so it was really affordable!  Aren’t they the sweetest?!

Baker’s twine, small clear bags and an assortment of ring pops and you be straight ballin’ on Valentine’s Day.  I used clear little bags from the bead and jewelry aisle at Hobby Lobby and trimmed of the Ziploc top after tying them off.  They come in a cha-jillion a pack.

Just buy a bag of mini doughnuts and be a blessin’ on this Valentine’s.  We bought both chocolate and powder to use a mix of both.  Are these not making your heart smile?! I adore this instant download and here is the link for a good ANY time of year little donut treat tag to remind someone that you like them tons.

Happy almost Valentine’s Day, y’all!
