Inked Tile Ornaments

25th November 2020

Are these pleasing to your eyeballs or what?! Pick up some individual glazed small tiles at a home improvement store OR buy one square foot piece of backsplash or tile and peel each tile off. It’s so easy and cheaper chespersons.

I bought some pearlized alcohol inks in bright colors from the scrapbook section at Hobby Lobby. I didn’t use a dropper, but rather let it drip out on its own. Believe me, it’s like water and you NEVER want to squeeze it! Drip onto your surface trying not too mix the colors very much or you’ll end up with a brown swirl poop tile. Make sure to spray/cover each one when they are dry to seal your ornament. I didn’t and know I should have. I would assume a Modge Podge made for ceramic or glazed surfaces would suffice, but don’t call those facts in to the news.

We put stickers on them of my girl’s initials to be peeled off after we covered them with ink. Then we just hot glued on some silver elastic to the back so they could be hung on a tree!

You could do these larger as fun coasters too! Party on, Wayne. Party on, Garth.
