Smack your granny to the grave! I loved creating these! I saw these little craft window box cookie boxes at Hobby Lobby and really wanted to use them. I asked my son what he would like me to make one of these boxes into for Halloween and he said, “A werewolf!”. Then I made it into a werewolf and he cried and said, “NO! I said a dragon.” And that is craft time with a 4 year old.
I went to the googly eye section at Hobby Lobby and found these eyes and noses. The have screws on the back of them, so I made holes with thumbtacks carefully into the box window and gently enlarged them with a circular motion until the eyes and noses would pop in.
I had so much fun with the werewolves that I went on to make witches, mummies, black cats, and Frankenstein (my favorite).
I filled the boxes with Hershey bars because it’s my son’s favorite candy and the ONLY candy he will eat! Some of the boxes I filled with gummy fangs and eyeballs left over from girl’s Halloween treats that I posted earlier this week. Hope this inspires you to make something for your kid that they will whine about anyways!
He liked it in the end so he avoided being removed from my will leaving him literally hundreds of dollars.
Happy Halloween!
